To provide strategic leadership for Active Humber, to support the board in all matters relating to the partnership's activities and to have special responsibility for finance, human and physical resources, business planning and leadership of the core team. Gary Sainty

Job Title: Head of Operations

Role & Responsibilities:

As Head of Operations I oversee and manage the operational elements to the Humber Sports Partnership delivery. I specifically lead on our NGB engagement and ensuring the partnership is delivering upon the requests of NGBs to meet their whole sport plan objectives. The operations side of Active Humber is responsible for NGB engagement, coach development, club support and Sport England programmes Sportivate, Satellite Clubs, Primary Premium, School Games.

I work closely with both the operations and company boards to ensure our business plan is delivered and targets are met. Liaising with key partners such as local authorities, schools and college networks and others to make sure the local demand is met as well as the targets of stakeholders.

I am the lead Welfare Officer for Active Humber working across the partnership as a key advocate to ensure a safe and fun sporting environment exists providing opportunities for young or vulnerable people to engage in sport.

Kerry Conner

Job Title: Office Manager

Role & Responsibilities:

To work closely with the Chief Executive, the Active Humber company board and the operational board, ensuring full business support is provided to all and across the partnership. Key areas of work are, funding, finance, events organisation, supporting partners with performance management across various programmes and general administrative support.

Sarah Tague

Job Title: Development Manager (Improvement and Clubs)

Role & Responsibilities:

I am the Active Humber club lead, I aim to support sports clubs, no matter where they are on their development journey and no matter what their improvement goals. I lead the Club Matters LOCAL programme. Club Matters LOCAL is a club centred programme designed to support clubs with all the business aspects of running a club, such as club finances and business planning. I also lead on the Active Humber, Quick Volunteering programme which is a virtual volunteering programme that brings together skilled volunteers willing to donate their time with community sports cubs to widen their reach and work more effectively. I am the deputy safeguarding officer and support the safeguarding officer to write and implement the safeguarding plan. I work closely with Hull Culture and Leisure to ensure strategic working across all areas. Internally, I lead on continuous improvement (including our Quest Accreditation) looking at processes to make Active Humber more efficient and effective.

Garreth Roberts

Job Title: Development Manager (Coaching and Workforce)

Role & Responsibilities:

My job is to help new coaches get into coaching & support and develop existing coaches. To do this we have established a county-based coaching support network which is flexible enough to support the needs of coaches and sport at community level.

I lead coaching development across the Humber, working with partners to create strong relationships which ultimately deliver the Humber coaching delivery plan. Working with the National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of sport, helping them to meet their Whole Sport Plan (WSP) targets, supporting them in building capacity in their coaching workforce, creating more opportunities to participate in sport and physical activity and supporting the development of coaches working on Sport England programmes locally including Sportivate & Satellite Clubs

Working with Sports CoachUK I coordinate the Humber coaching support network and facilitate the delivery of Active Humber's 'Courses for All' coach education programme which attracted over 550 coaches in the last 6 months. I also lead on the compilation of coaching data and the coordination of the coaching provider networks.

Over the last few years there has been a tremendous growth in coaching organisations or businesses across the Humber. Kingston upon Hull City Council, East Riding of Yorkshire Council and North East Lincolnshire have developed coaching registers whereby 130+ organisations and their 750+ coaches have acquired the minimum operating standards for working in local authority settings.

Nicola Massingham

Job Title: Development Manager (Young People and Disability)

Role & Responsibilities:

I lead on the Sportivate Initiative across the Humber. Sportivate is a London 2012 legacy project which supports sports clubs and organisations with funding to develop opportunities for young people between the ages of 11-25 to participate in sport and remain playing sport in the long term. My role includes supporting organisations to apply for the funding, managing and overseeing the projects once they are funded and reporting to Sport England regarding the funding we have allocated.

I also oversee the Community Games initiative across the Humber, which supports communities to come together to take part in sporting and cultural activities inspired by London 2012.

Due to my previous role as the Humber Disability Development Officer I also support the development of disability sports opportunities across the Humber.

Lora Webster

Job Title: Development Manager (Education & Community)

Role & Responsibilities:

I lead on the support Active Humber provides to Primary Schools across the Humber in relation to PE, Sport and Healthy Lifestyles. This involves working with individual schools and clusters of schools, supporting them to enhance the quality of PE lessons and encourage the least active pupils to become more active through ensuring the best use of the PE and School Sport Premium funding.

I also lead on the Satellite Clubs programme, which provides vital funding for community sports clubs to branch out and create new sections on school sites. I work closely with the Sportivate lead to maximise the opportunities Active Humber can provide for young people to access more sport at a time and place most suitable to them.

Finally, I coordinate Active Humber's work in North East Lincolnshire ensuring strategic relationships are developed and maintained in this local authority area.

Jo McDonald

Job Title: Development Manager (School Games)

Role and Responsibilities:

My role as School Games Development Manager is to plan and execute the level 3 inter county Humber School Games finals over the course of the academic year. The Humber school games spans 4 local authority areas and sees the qualifiers from over 380 schools compete in 15 separate events across 73 competitions in 17 sports. It involves 5040 athletes and 260 young leaders and culminates in the pinnacle multi-sport showcase at Hymers college every July. The calendar also encompasses a variety of direct entry inclusive events open to both special and mainstream schools. The School Games is open to all schools and is often a springboard for young competitors to engage at further levels. I organise the training and supply of Young Leaders into the events as well as engage with local clubs and NGB's. I also embrace the commercial opportunities of the Games by engaging sponsors which in turn support and enable me to enhance the programme further ensuring each company sponsorship to support and enhance the already exciting programme.

Elliot Hakner

Job Title: Development Manager (Business and Innovation)

Role & Responsibilities:

As Project Development Manager I work closely with the core team and key partners on Sport England's strategic objectives across the Humber, in particular workforce development. Leading on sports volunteering for the Humber, I work closely with the public, private and third sectors to develop innovative projects, with the key objectives to enable residents to develop personal and key employability skills, with the overall aim to increase social action and employability opportunities. I also deliver SCUK, 1st4Sport and Street Games qualifications to local community coaches, volunteers and further education students and also lecture on the BSc Sports Coaching & Performance Degree creating exit routes and support mechanisms for students to develop careers in the Humber.

Richard Hall

Job Title: Strategic Marketing Manager

Role and Responsibilities:

I work across two CSPs, Active Humber and North Yorkshire Sport, and am responsible for the management and delivery of the joint marketing function across the two charities. My role involves planning and delivering multi-channel marketing communications to support objectives in accordance with strategic marketing plans.

Job Title: Administrative Officer

Role & Responsibilities:

My main role at Active Humber is to oversee the day to day administration support and to generally help the office run smoothly. I am the first point of contact for any coach education course bookings and support the coach development manager with the planning and running of the coach education programme.

Role & Responsibilities:

I am currently a Sports Development Apprentice working towards a level 3 Sports Development qualification. Along with that I also work closely with the Business and Innovation team. My key job roles include working with the Admin team, the RAMP team and help out at the School Games Events.

Eleazer Ezekiel

Job Title: Sports Development Apprentice

Role & Responsibilities:

I am currently working towards a level 3 Sports Development qualification. At Active Humber I work as an Apprentice sports development officer, I work with the operations team to help deliver Active Humber's objectives. As well as my duties with the operations team I am also involved in the Humber School Game and I assist when and wherever it is needed at an event.
