David Gent appointed as Active Humber's new CEO

Following an exhaustive selection process, Active Humber are delighted to announce that David Gent has accepted the post of Chief Executive of Humber Sports Partnership Ltd. David will take up his duties on October 2nd 2017.

David is well known in the field having held senior posts as the Sport England Regional Director for Yorkshire and Humber and Director of Participation and Strategic Development for the Rugby Football League. David leaves his role as Director of Development with British Weightlifting to join us.

The selection panel which included representatives from CSPN and Sport England believe he has an excellent pedigree to lead Active Humber as a County Sports Partnership, and we look forward to him working with the core team as we seek to fulfil the new Sport England remit for CSP's over the next three years.

David commented:

'I am delighted to be appointed the new CEO of Active Humber at what is a really exciting time in the development of the CSP. I hope we can build on all the good work Active Humber has achieved so far, and working closely with local and national partners, help make the Humber one of England's most active areas.'
