New Female Coaches Group!

Research shows that the coaching workforce is heavily male-dominated, with women accounting for around 30% of coaches. The proportion of female coaches drops to 17% for qualified coaches and 12% for highly qualified coaches (Level 3 or above). Active Humber believes that more women coaching offers more choice and more coaches, which ultimately means more women participating in sport. As well as recruiting more female coaches, we also need to help support our existing coaches.

We are driven by the belief that any coach of physical activity make local communities better places. Yet, sometimes coaching can be very lonely and you can feel cut off with no one to talk to, bounce ideas off, share best practice or even ask advice. With this in mind, we have created a Facebook group- Female Coaches. As the name suggests, it's just for female coaches! Whether you are new to coaching, an experienced coach, or even thinking about getting involved in coaching this group will help support your journey and you, in turn, you can help of others. The group is closed so only members can see the content.

If you would like to be involved in this group please CLICK HERE and request to join, or email Robin@northyorkshiresport.co.uk, letting us know you want to be involved and we will add your email address to the group.
