Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Role & Responsibilities:

To provide strategic leadership for Active Humber, to support the board in all matters relating to the partnership's activities and to have special responsibility for finance, human and physical resources, business planning and leadership of the core team. To ensure that grass roots sport is supported and connected across the core agendas of the community.

Gary Sainty

Job Title: Deputy Chief Executive

Role & Responsibilities:

I provide strategic leadership for Active Humber and oversee the operational work of the team. I work closely with local and national strategic partners and have a responsibility to implement the strategy of Active Humber. I work across the Humber and focus efforts working with the four Local Authorities, Health and the Voluntary and Community Sector being a key advocator for physical activity and the outcomes it contributes to.

Richard Hall

Job Title: Head of Marketing

Role and Responsibilities:

I work across two CSPs, Active Humber and North Yorkshire Sport, and am responsible for the strategic management of the joint marketing function across the two charities. My role involves planning and delivering multi-channel marketing communications to support objectives in accordance with strategic marketing plans.

Kerry Conner

Job Title: Office Manager

Role & Responsibilities:

To work closely with the Chief Executive, the Active Humber company board and the operational board, ensuring full business support is provided to all and across the partnership. Key areas of work are, funding, finance, events organisation, supporting partners with performance management across various programmes and general administrative support.

Sarah Tague

Job Title: Development Manager (Improvement and Clubs)

Role & Responsibilities:

I am the Active Humber club lead, I aim to support sports clubs, no matter where they are on their development journey and no matter what their improvement goals. I lead the Club Matters LOCAL programme. Club Matters LOCAL is a club centred programme designed to support clubs with all the business aspects of running a club, such as club finances and business planning. I also lead on the Active Humber, Quick Volunteering programme which is a virtual volunteering programme that brings together skilled volunteers willing to donate their time with community sports cubs to widen their reach and work more effectively. I am the deputy safeguarding officer and support the safeguarding officer to write and implement the safeguarding plan. I work closely with Hull Culture and Leisure to ensure strategic working across all areas. Internally, I lead on continuous improvement (including our Quest Accreditation) looking at processes to make Active Humber more efficient and effective.

Nicola Massingham

Job Title: Development Manager (Young People and Disability)

Role & Responsibilities:

I lead on the Sportivate Initiative across the Humber. Sportivate is a London 2012 legacy project which supports sports clubs and organisations with funding to develop opportunities for young people between the ages of 11-25 to participate in sport and remain playing sport in the long term. My role includes supporting organisations to apply for the funding, managing and overseeing the projects once they are funded and reporting to Sport England regarding the funding we have allocated.

I also oversee the Community Games initiative across the Humber, which supports communities to come together to take part in sporting and cultural activities inspired by London 2012.

Due to my previous role as the Humber Disability Development Officer I also support the development of disability sports opportunities across the Humber.

Jo McDonald

Job Title: Development Manager (School Games)

Role and Responsibilities:

My role as School Games Development Manager is to plan and execute the level 3 inter county Humber School Games finals over the course of the academic year. The Humber school games spans 4 local authority areas and sees the qualifiers from over 380 schools compete in 15 separate events across 73 competitions in 17 sports. It involves 5040 athletes and 260 young leaders and culminates in the pinnacle multi-sport showcase at Hymers college every July. The calendar also encompasses a variety of direct entry inclusive events open to both special and mainstream schools. The School Games is open to all schools and is often a springboard for young competitors to engage at further levels. I organise the training and supply of Young Leaders into the events as well as engage with local clubs and NGB's. I also embrace the commercial opportunities of the Games by engaging sponsors which in turn support and enable me to enhance the programme further ensuring each company sponsorship to support and enhance the already exciting programme.

Job Title: Assistant Marketing Officer

Role & Responsibilities:

I am currently working towards my CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing whilst working with Active Humber. I assist the marketing team with web content development, photography and filming production and marketing communications.

Lauren Whittaker

Job Title: Marketing Officer

Role & Responsibilities:

I work across both Active Humber and North Yorkshire Sport, providing the two CSPs with a broad range of marketing support. My role includes planning and creating marketing communications, managing social media, producing digital marketing, event planning and designing marketing materials.

Robin Lavin

Job Title: Workforce Development Manager

Role & Responsibilities:

I work across two CSPs, Active Humber and North Yorkshire Sport, and am the strategic lead for workforce across the two charities. My role involves the development of coaches, volunteers, clubs and the professional workforce.

Adam Wrightham

Job Title: Sports Development Officer

Role & Responsibilities:

As Active Humber Sports Development Officer I support with the implantation of the satellite club funding and the delivery of the school games initiatives. My role is to work with the public sector, community and voluntary organisations to access funding to increase the physical activity levels of people living in the Humber. I have a background of working in sports development and public health.

My specialism is older people and have experience of developing projects to increase physical activity levels of older people living with long term conditions. At Active Humber I will be the lead for older people developments within North and North East Lincolnshire. Influencing and supporting agencies to create environments for older people to become more active.
