Yorkshire Primary Premium Awards
In partnership with the Yorkshire Sport Foundation and North Yorkshire Sport we are hosting the Yorkshire Primary PE and Sports Awards. The Sports awards offer primary schools the opportunity to showcase the outcomes from their sport premium spend.
Schools across Yorkshire have the opportunity to nominate in one of five categories. The categories are reflective of the five new key performance indicators as laid down by DfE in October 2017.
· Pupil engagement in physical activity
· Whole school improvement
· Up-skilling staff
· Broader sporting experience
· Increased participation competitive sport
Nominations should demonstrate;
Innovative, detailing how your school has delivered something additional which is groundbreaking and original which other schools can learn from.
Sustainable, how has your school ensured that the impact can be maintained after the grant is longer provided?
Impacts on pupils, (this is crucial to a successful submission) how has the school ensured and measured (evidence will be required) that pupils benefit from the intervention?
Applications will be considered more favourably if the following are referenced:
Transition - how pupils will continue to benefit when they move on to secondary schools
Social Mobility - how pupils' future prospects have or will be improved
The School's journey from under-performing to over-performing in your chosen area
